Aeolian Winds are Featured in Newly Released CD American Perennials CD

The Aeolian Winds of Pittsburgh are featured performers on Rick Sowash's American Perennials CD just released before the holidays. The group recorded his Three American Perennials for Woodwind Quintet this past Fall here in Pittsburgh. The quintet gave the Pittsburgh premiere of the work at this past summer's Bach, Beethoven and Brunch concert series, which runs in June and July on Sunday mornings in Mellon Park. The composer attended the performance and gave an introduction to the work. After hearing the recording the composer stated, "The Aeolians play with wit and precision and exuberance. I am very pleased with this recording and more convinced than ever that it will garner a lot of air-time at classical stations." The CDs are for sale on the composer's website www.Sowash.com The Aeolian Winds were founded in 2003 and continue to play in and around the Pittsburgh Area.
