
PRESS RELEASE
The Aeolian Winds of Pittsburgh are musicians dedicated to performing and promoting wind
chamber music within the greater Pittsburgh community. Founded in 2003 as a wind quintet,
the group also regularly performs trios and quartets as well as
larger-scale wind works. The group has been featured at the Bach, Beethoven, and Brunch concerts,
the Sanctuary Concert Series at First Baptist Church, and at Heinz
Hall during the First National Performing Arts Convention. The group has also performed
with the University of Pittsburgh Men’s Glee Club, at Future Tenant during the Pittsburgh
Cultural Trust’s Gallery Crawl, at the University of Pittsburgh Chancellor’s dinner,
and at the Quiet Storm Coffeehouse. One of Pittsburgh's most diverse wind quintets, the group
also performs at private events including
weddings, receptions, and dinners.
The Aeolian Winds of Pittsburgh has been the the Ensemble in Residence at the First Baptist
Church of Pittsburgh since August, 2005, and has recently established a partnership with the
Allegheny County Library Association.
